Oysters au gratin

Ingredients:

  • 6 fresh oysters, cleaned and shucked
  • 2 streaky bacon rashers, finely chopped
  • 30g (1oz) celery, finely chopped
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 30g (1oz) grated mozzarella cheese

Serves: 2

Method:

  1. Prepare the Bacon: In a small pan, cook the bacon for 1-2 minutes until crispy.
  2. Add Celery: Add the finely chopped celery to the pan with the bacon and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Top the Oysters: Spoon the bacon and celery mixture over the oysters.
  4. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese over the top.
  5. Grill: Cook the oysters under a medium grill for 3-4 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and melted.
